Pulled Pork Without the Smoker

Nothing beats a good pulled pork sandwich. But we don’t often get to enjoy this smokey treat because properly smoking a batch of delicious pulled pork takes hours of attentive care in a smoker.

No smoker, and no time to stand around and babysit a picnic shoulder all day? You’re in luck! This easy slow cooker pulled pork recipe is exactly what you need when you want to fulfill you’re craving for sweet and smokey fare!

Only fifteen minutes of preparation and you can set this in the slow cooker and forget about it for hours. If you have the time, slow and low is always best when cooking meat like this. But if you’re in more of a hurry you can set the slow cooker to high and have mouth-watering pulled pork ready in 6 hours.

All the ingredients impart their flavor to the pork while you go about your day. A rich umami flavors the pork from the chicken broth and Worcestershire, while the brown sugar, chili powder, and cinnamon balance that with a smokey sweetness that will have your friends and family begging for more!

It’s also versatile. Serve it on buns for sandwiches, or in tortillas for tacos or burritos. Alternatively, you could simply serve it over rice or mix it into a potato hash.

Don’t wait until the next time you’re out to enjoy a picnic roast. Enjoy it today with this easy slow cooker pulled pork recipe!
