Korean Flavors at Home
I love tasting exciting new things, just as many do. Traveling to a new area and diving into their local cuisine is a beloved treat.
Most have experienced this within their country, but not everyone has the opportunity to taste what the world has to offer.
Except, often you do have that opportunity.
No, I’m not aware of any mysterious pile of cash lying around to cover a trip across the hemisphere. I’m declaring that you can make dishes from around the globe right in your kitchen!
All you need is the know-how and the ingredients.
Sourcing specialty ingredients can admittedly be a challenge when attempting to replicate an authentic dish, but many meals from around the world consist of items that are readily available at your local grocer.
Even if they aren’t, you can often find a substitute for what you can’t find, putting your own little twist on the dish as a result!
As for the know-how, here’s a recipe for a popular Korean dish called bulgogi, meaning “fire meat.”
It’s a taste of Korean cuisine that pairs well with rice, kimchi, or fresh veggies such as carrots, peppers, and scallions.
This dish is also quite easy to prepare, requiring roughly twenty minutes of preparation before your slow cooker works its magic.
